Biltmore Area Dining Suggestions

My dad called recently to let me know that one of his golfing buddies was coming out to Phoenix for business (Biltmore area) and ask me to put together a list of restaurant suggestions.  I was happy to do it because I love dining out and sharing my experiences.  I thought I’d post my recommendations for others  who might be visiting the Phoenix area and looking to narrow down dining choices too. Here are my restaurant suggestions by cuisine:  Southwest Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn (at a quaint historic resort with Western decor,, Roaring Fork (casual dining,, Dick Richardson’s restaurants: The Rokerij (we have been and it’s good) or Dick’s Hideaway (we have not been) both at Asian/Sushi (in Scottsdale except where noted) Roka Akor (we have not been but gets rave reviews,, Stingray (good, ultramod atmosphere,, Zen 32 (our neighborhood joint, creative cocktails, open late and in Phoenix near the Biltmore Seafood Steamers at Biltmore Fashion ( or Ocean Club (has a reputation for being quite the scene for local celebrities, as one of the Mastro’s restaurants, which includes City Hall Steakhouse that my father may have mentioned French Christopher’s (also at Biltmore,, Coupes des Tartes (in a quaint older house, with a seasonal menu and BYOB with corking fee as they have no liquor license, and any of the Vincent restaurants depending on the meal and day of the week (for brunch or lunch, the Market Bistro or The Camelback Market, for lunch or dinner Vincent on Camelback, all at...
